Our local congregation has recently donated $300.00 to this very
worthy cause. Our giving
to date is now over $2,571.00. Thank you so much for all of your
support. By the year 2009 there will be over 1 million orphans
in South Africa due to the AIDS epidemic alone. Through the
Door of Hope Project, some of these precious children will have a
Christian home in a land where most of their generation will not
survive. Your prayers and financial help are needed.
Remember them in your prayers and in the little pink
box at the Information Table. Loose change is always welcome.
Living Hope Ministries has produced a DVD on the history of the transformation
of our Church. You can order
copies from their website at www.lhvm.org. Standard
rates are only $5 or less for orders of 5 or more.
Don't forget our on-going weekly collection for the
Meriden-Wallingford Chrysalis Domestic Violence Services for
battered women and children.
The taking up of an offering during our Services is a regular
part of our worship. If you are a visitor today, please do not
feel obligated to give. You are our guest and we are glad to
have you with us to share in the joy of our Christian family.
If you need to have an item included in the Bulletin, please give Don West the information by noon on Friday. Telephone: (860) 223-1709; email: donald.w.west@comcast.net.
